Arles, Les Baux, St Rémy de Provence This
itinerary will take you through the Crau Plain, to the
ancient city of Arles (UNESCO World Heritage). You will discover
the roman vestiges with the Arenas, the Ancient Theater, but also,
the Saint Trophime church (carved portal of 12th
century),
the Forum Square where stands the statue of Frédéric
Mistral and the Van Gogh’s Café. Late,
on the road that leads you to Les Baux de Provence, you will make
a stopover in the abbey of Montmajour (10th century) and to the
Mill of Daudet
, famous place where Alphonse Daudet found inspiration
to write his letters. Lunch
on your own, in the village of Les Baux de Provence.
In the afternoon, you will visit an olive property, before continuing
to Saint Rémy de Provence, on a beautiful road edged by
fields of olive trees. * Entrance fees for monuments and museums are not included.
